About

Walker's Point Center for the Arts is a nonprofit community arts center at 839 South 5th Street in Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood, founded in 1987. It supports visual and performing arts and youth arts education, its main gallery hosts 7 to 8 exhibitions a year, and it prioritizes Latinx, BIPOC and LGBTQ voices in its work. The center is housed in a 138-year-old historic building. Its spaces are the East Gallery, the South Gallery, the Blue Box Theater, a Dance Studio and an Art Classroom, holding 25 to 75 people depending on the space. Gallery hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 1 pm to 5 pm during exhibitions. Be aware before visiting that the center's website publishes no physical accessibility information at all: nothing on parking, the entrance, steps, restrooms, elevators or wheelchair access, and no one is named for access questions.

Theater, Auditorium, etc. (Museum)	Yes	Yes	Walker's Point Center for the Arts has a performance space, the Blue Box Theater, alongside the East Gallery, the South Gallery, a Dance Studio and an Art Classroom.
