About

The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is a living park at 7370 Baker Street in Pittsburgh's Highland Park neighborhood, home to animal habitats, an aquarium, and family experiences like the One Wild Express Train, carousel, and butterfly walk. Its main facilities meet ADA standards: free parking at the Butler Street entrance, an elevator beside the entry escalator for wheeled devices, rental wheelchairs, strollers, and seated electric scooters (reserve at 412-365-6020), accessible and family/inclusive restrooms, a complimentary companion ticket for caregivers, and sensory resources through KultureCity and the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program. It is open daily 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. in season (until 4 p.m. off-season). Note: the Zoo-looping tram is not operating in 2026 due to Giraffe Care Center construction — guests are encouraged to bring or rent mobility devices.
